Mark Nettenbreijers (b. 1971, the Netherlands) lives in Purmerend and works in Amsterdam.

After many years as a logistics professional, Nettenbreijers changed course and began studying photography at the Fotoacademie Amsterdam, where he graduated in 2012. His Rise & Fall series captures the silence and fragility of the forest in large black and white photographs, capturing magical moments made by temporary natural light shifts.

His work was selected for the Festival Voies Off during Les Rencontres d’Arles and the 2012 Photo Academy Awards at The Hague Museum of Photography.
